5Great product! Does what it says it does.  Feb 24, 2011 By Big-B-330i
I have a 2005 BMW 330i and I wanted to get rid of the chrome window trim. After doing a bit of research of the possible methods, I came across this. A local shop wanted to charge $450 to wrap the chrome around my doors! I found this to be the best option. $6 really? You cannot go wrong. Be advised that you will need two rolls to complete a project like mine. Google BMW chrome window trim to get an idea of how much or little chrome I had to do. I had to order the stuff twice. This does take a lot of time and patience to make sure you get all of the air bubbles out. The finished product is well worth it. I have had this on for about two weeks and have no problems with it. Worst case scenario, I am only out $12 no big deal. Great solution if you are looking to get rid of the chrome!

5works great  Oct 19, 2010 By kevin "kevin"
I actually didn't use this to completely black out the silver trim for my car but rather used it to cover up where the black paint was flaking off of the trim around the windows. It says not to place it over paint but its been on the car for over 3 weeks and so far no problems. I have no expertise in applying vinyl but this was very easy to apply and cut with a razor blade. Id definitely recommend it to others.

2not as good as the original black out tape!!!  Apr 20, 2012 By D Morgan
The original would last for years, but the new tape that replaced it isn't as strong as an adhesive and doesn't stay on as well. Luckily I still have some of the old tape that I'll only use for the exterior of the car and only use the new version on the interior. Hopefully the makers of this tape will see this review and improve their tape once again!

4Worked ok but ended up removing it  Dec 26, 2011 By A. Demsky "Jack of All"
If you have ever masked something to be painted then you know how accurate you have to be when lining up the edges. The same thing applies with this stuff. Sure you can overlap and then exacto/razor it off but then you create waste. This stuff works pretty good but it doesnt like corners. The key is not to stretch the tape, if you do then it will pull off after a little bit. It stuck really well through a heavy rain storm right after application. I didnt like how I had to put multiple pieces on for a corner and seeing edges really bothered me. Going to try plastidip next time.
