5Great product! Does what it says it does.  Feb 24, 2011 By Big-B-330i
I have a 2005 BMW 330i and I wanted to get rid of the chrome window trim. After doing a bit of research of the possible methods, I came across this. A local shop wanted to charge $450 to wrap the chrome around my doors! I found this to be the best option. $6 really? You cannot go wrong. Be advised that you will need two rolls to complete a project like mine. Google BMW chrome window trim to get an idea of how much or little chrome I had to do. I had to order the stuff twice. This does take a lot of time and patience to make sure you get all of the air bubbles out. The finished product is well worth it. I have had this on for about two weeks and have no problems with it. Worst case scenario, I am only out $12 no big deal. Great solution if you are looking to get rid of the chrome!

2not as good as the original black out tape!!!  Apr 20, 2012 By D Morgan
The original would last for years, but the new tape that replaced it isn't as strong as an adhesive and doesn't stay on as well. Luckily I still have some of the old tape that I'll only use for the exterior of the car and only use the new version on the interior. Hopefully the makers of this tape will see this review and improve their tape once again!

51 year later still looks great!  Feb 04, 2013 By Matt
I used this tape to black out the window trim on my 2002 Nissan Maxima last spring, and it still looks great today. This stuff has been exposed to weeks of 90+ degree heat as well as near sub-zero temperatures, and all types of weather such as rain, sleet, snow, hail, hurricanes, etc. Even with New England road salt and countless car washes, this tape shows no signs of damage. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

5blackout your chrome without paint !  Jul 10, 2015 By Nathaniel Lemke
Even around the window trim it was easy to stretch and cut the tape to fit perfectly without a heat gun or any special tools. Has held up to car washes and power washing and the car is parked outside daily. Really good stuff worth the buy! You will need 2 rolls for a full size car!

4Sticks on Well and Hasn't Shrunk or Peeled yet  Aug 13, 2013 By M. Spalmacin
I used this tape to black-out portions of my ABS plastic grill. It worked well. I didn't stretch it when I applied it and made sure all the air bubbles were pressed out (a safety pin works well for releasing trapped air). It's been on for about three months now and through several washes -- I didn't treat it gently with the wash brush -- and still looks good, no edges lifting or peeling. If I need to do other areas of the car, this is the stuff I'll use.
