Proven goodness Nov 09, 2009 Been using K&N filters exclusively for two years. I have an oil analysis done every other change and the results show it is doing an excellent job. The nut makes it very easy to remove but it also makes the filter slightly taller than the stock part, if you have a very tight fit in your engine compartment make sure there is enough room for it.

Doesn't fit application listed - waste of money. Apr 04, 2009 If you have the 3.9 Lincoln V-8 DO NOT BUY stock number HP-2009. The screw-on hole is way too small and you'll be stuck screwing on your old filter and limping to your nearest parts store for one that fits. My first experience with K&N has been regrettable, never again. I should have stayed with the bulletproof Purolator filters.
Nothing but K&N for me Oct 06, 2008 I've used K&N oil and air filters in all of my cars, always will.
Now if they would make more appllications for olders cars (got a 88 escort LX which still runs great) you'll get more converts!
K&N oil flter May 13, 2007 I've been using this oil filter since 1998 because of it's quality and easy removal.
