4Auto dim rear view mirror  Oct 05, 2009
Worked well. The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that they don't tell you up front when ordering that there will be some special wiring necessary when used in a Ford Convertible.
I had to call them for technical support and a wiring diagram for the convertible. They were very helpful with that part. The engineer I spoke with sent me all the necessary instructions.

5Great Product!!  Oct 04, 2009
I have owned a couple other autodim mirrors and this one by far is the best one. Its feels sturdy, mounts very easily and most of all, works great. The other two mirrors that I had costs about the same and neither of them work 100% from day one. I must say I am very impressed about how well it works. ** just a little side note, I changed out the bulbs of the map lights to the LED kind. The original bulbs was very difficult to remove, but its only because it is fitting very tight (Which it should). Be ready to spend at least half an hour or so to change out these bulbs and it will be a lot easier if you remove the mirror first.

4Excellent product!  Sep 16, 2009
This handy rearview mirror saved us a lot of money at the dealership. Instead of installing a factory compass and thermometer separately, we were able to install this all in one package that even has reading lights on it. The compass and thermometer are very accurate. Installation at the dealership was around $130.

My only complaint with the product is that its weight requires a very strong glue to keep it from falling off the windshield. After three attempts, we finally found a suitable glue at Theisen's Farm and Fleet that has successfully kept it on.

This is a great product - I highly recommend it!

3Good Quality but very difficult to install  Aug 20, 2009
I bought this item after reading some of the reviews. It's very good quality, however there are very few people who would have the equipment and be able to install it themselves. I had to pay a mechanic to install it. On a positive note, it works well and does what it's supposed to.

5CIPA Mirror  Jul 12, 2009
CHIPA is a subsidiary of Donnelly Magna who is an original equipment manufacture, hence you get the same quality and looks of a factory mirror. I feel this is an outstanding product, functions as described. Installation was straightforward. The biggest hurtle is finding a path to route the temperature sensor wire, which in my case was the hood release cable grommet; didn't want to drill a new hole. As a note, when mounting the temperature sensor, make sure the sensor is not obstructed or near a heat source to avoid false readings.
